This print represents the origin and essence of Beware of the Owner. Inspired by a true anecdote, it comes from an everyday moment with Balu, my giant schnauzer. In a store, someone exclaimed: “Beware of the dog!”, and my spontaneous response was: “Beware of the owner!”. That phrase became a statement of attitude and the name of the brand, which celebrates the strong and authentic character of both dogs and their owners.
The illustration is the work of Branda (Óscar Brandariz), a Galician artist based in Barcelona with an unmistakable style. His stroke, which combines humor and personality, perfectly captures the irreverent and unique spirit of this project. Branda, known for his keen observation of everyday life and his focus on modern customs, captured in this piece the essence of Beware of the Owner: a fun and empowering wink that connects with whoever looks at it.
